April 2014 Board Minutes

Meeting was called to order at 7 pm and Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all.
Board: Maggie Jones, , Susan Jamerson, Cathy Winterrowd and Mike Barr and Don Ulrey were present.   PSG Management: Larry Edwards and Susan Keene were present.
Minutes from last meeting were approved.        Don Ulrey, treasurer’s report:

Architectural Report: three requests were approved for patios/decks by Mike Barr.
Social Committee Report: Card and flowers given to Annabelle Benjamin for loss of son. Card and flowers were given to Mr and Mrs Billings (recent fall with injury). Madge Jarrett – shoulder surgery, Suzie will give card and flowers. Bill Jamerson requested update for minutes on Waterford Lakes web site. Minutes to be updated per Susan Keene. Sandoval is in process of removing /replacing damaged bushes from snow removal. Boxwood bushes to be replaced around club house. Another home owner has experienced major water leak problem. Utility Shield with Citizens Energy was notified and will provide service for repair.  Reminder:  homeowners should file Homestead tax credit at Hendricks County assessors office.  Schedule for lawn treatments : pre-emergent done,  spring treatment (late May), summer treatment (late June/July),  fall treatment October.   Coyotes seen at Waterford Lakes. May want to put your trash bags in trash containers.  Please remember to use courtesy when parking in your driveway, be considerate of your neighbors driveway access.         
Landscaping:     Memorial Bricks for Shade Garden are still available for $50.00.  
New Business/Old Business:  No old business.  New Business:  Suzie Jamerson re-elected as Secretary/Social Committee.

March 2014 Board Minutes

Meeting was called to order at 7 pm and Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all.
Board: Maggie Jones, , Susan Jamerson, Cathy Winterrowd and Mike Barr and Don Ulrey were present.   PSG Management: Larry Edwards and Susan Keene were present.

Social Committee Report: Four memorial bricks will be placed in shade garden when weather permits.  Presented card and flowers for Mrs Ridenour who just returned home from surgery.  Mailed a card to Chris Turner who is undergoing health issues.       
Landscaping:     Memorial Bricks for Shade Garden are still available for $50.00.  
Hawthorn bushes have been planted along the east boundary between the pond and Austin Lakes.  Bricks will be replaced at 225 Waterford Ct  around the front flower bed.  New residents were introduced and welcomed to the neighborhood.
New Business/Old Business:  No old business.  Mail or bring proxies/ballets to next meeting for election of officers.  Mary Jane Allen warned residents of carpet cleaning scam with Clean Pro LLC.  Soliciting prohibited at Waterford Lakes. Report incidents with the Avon Police.   Unknown suspicious people in our neighborhood should be reported to Avon Police.   Gerri and Richard Conway had an unfortunate water leak incident at their condo. They revealed that Vectren’s Gas company utility protection plan does not cover dwelling on a slab. Carefully read your current policy for accurate coverage of utilities (all inside and outside lines).  Citizens Energy Group Utility Shield policy covers all lines, water, sewer, gas and electric.  1-888-544-4541.
 PSG emphasized ice dam damage of condo interior is the responsibility of home owner. PSG recommended that extra attic insulation is recommended. Ice dam pucks were used on roofs this past winter to help with ice dam problems. PSG evaluating repair of concrete driveways. Mr Sandoval evaluating lawn repair from snow removal damage.  Larry (PSG) currently doing spring walk around to assess condition of all properties.  Suggestion to all condo owners—remember to file your Homestead tax credit. Our annual budget remains very tight. PSG and the board will be closely monitoring all expenditures.    Motion made to adjourn.

February 2014 Board Minutes

Meeting was called to order at 7 pm and Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all.

Social Committee Report: informed the residents of the sudden death of Mr. Nickels on Crystal Ct.   A memorial brick will be placed in the garden walkway. Thank You cards sent to Avon Police and Fire Departments for their consistent quick responses to our many calls and concerns.     
Landscaping:     Memorial Bricks for Shade Garden are still available for $50.00.  
Hawthorn bushes are in and will be planted this spring by PSG. 
New Business/Old Business:  No old business. Compliments were made to Mr. Sandoval on snow removal.  Snow removal is paid by the amount of snow received, varies 3-6-9 inches.
Once again, residents were informed that no one called the town of Avon to tell them not to remove snow.  Susan Keene reported we are close to two budget busters. First being snow removal , $8000 in budget and $6413 already spent. Second, exterior lights repair and replacement.  Larry Edwards explained that they were unable to repair posts , replacement was necessary. Light replacement was also necessary.  Newer lights are easier to care for and better quality.   Larry also noted that mailbox cedar posts are being to show rot, therefore some replacements will be needed.

Meeting was called to order at 7 pm and Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all.

Architectural Report: none.
Social Committee Report: A thank you to Mr and Mrs Jimmy Havens and David Jones for helping a resident who experienced water heater problems late one evening. This is what our community represents being there for each other.
Landscaping:     Memorial Bricks for Shade Garden are still available for $50.00.
New Business/Old Business:      Snow sticks were placed by PSG.  PSG also stated that snow can not be put in courts.
PSG decides that 3 inches of snow fall before snow removal. The snow fall should be stopped before removal starts. Be sure to use ice melt. Call PSG if more ice melt is needed.  There will be no snow removal around fire hydrants.   .
Town of Avon will remove snow from streets. Sandoval to do the remainder. PSG was dissatisfied with some snow removal techniques which Larry addressed.
Mailbox door problems can be resolved by adjusting clips.
Several front yard post lights are in the process of being repaired or replaced.
