Waterford Lakes HOA May Bulletin
ANNUAL MEETING OUTDOORS:       Saturday, June 13th     **Rain date Sunday, June 14th
I hope everyone is continuing to navigate the ongoing challenges related to COVID-19 with patience and fortitude.  It’s been wonderful to see so many of you outside taking walks, working in your yards and meeting at the clubhouse shade garden. We are postponing our May 21st Annual Meeting once again until Saturday, June 13th.  We will hold the meeting outdoors on the clubhouse parking lot & grounds to allow folks to spread out.  Please bring lawn chairs if you have any, and we will bring out the clubhouse chairs as needed. A new 3 HP motor has been installed this month to replace the 16 yr. old motor on POND C that borders Waterford Lane & Dan Jones Rd. Total cost for the motor, parts and labor was $3,959.  This comes with a two year warranty.  In addition, we will be covering the wires with a shield to protect against muskrat and turtle damage at a cost of $900.  Our estimated costs for water treatment and fountains this year is $12,500.  Enjoy!
Despite the $750,000 roofing project underway, we continue to have repair costs on our remaining buildings. So far this year, we have spent $1800 on roof repairs. At the end of 2020, we will have completed 28 of the 54 buildings.  Progress!
The finance committee has completed a Reserve Study with a 5yr. & 10yr. Plan and will be making a presentation to the Board for their consideration.  Stay tune!
Landscaping
Mr. Sandavol will be trimming shrubs and removing some of the dead shrubbery in June.  We have asked him to start earlier this year.  He will do shrubs on the fronts of units and around the utilities.  Should you not want your shrubs trimmed, put a sign in your front window.
Joy Shew, Carol Gillespie, Anna Brown and Peggy Birch will be planting flowers at the entrances this month.  Thanks to Janell Miller & Joy Shew for purchasing the plants & flowers.  Thanks to our resident experts for adopting the entrances.
