November 2015 Board Minutes

Meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all.
Board: Maggie Jones, Suzie Jamerson, Cathy Winterrowd and Mike Barr were present, Don Ulrey was absent. PSG Management: Larry Edwards and Susan Keene were present.
Minutes from last meeting were approved. Don Ulrey's treasurer's report:

Architectural Report :  One approved to replace screens for windows back patio.
Social Committee Report: Suzie continues to visit residents with flowers and get well wishes.  New Bible study group meets every Wednesday 10am  to 12pm at the club house, all residents are invited, No meeting Nov 25th or Dec 23rd. We are all happy to welcome Mike Barr back to our HOA meetings.
New Business/Old Business:      Coupon books from PSG will be mailed out in mid December, monthly fee remains the same.  2016 budget was approved after discussions with residents. Remember to disconnect your garden hoses to prevent freezing of your pipes.  Water heater temperatures should be set around 120 degrees (?).  Small bags of Ice melt have been passed out, large bags of ice melt (End Ice) can be purchased at “Menards”. Roofing project to start in 2017. Enclosed is a copy of the roofing schedule diagram.  Some budget items have been removed to compensate for the upcoming roofing to be done such as edging, fertilizing, and only one trimming of bushes.   
Attention:  There will be NO meeting in December but we will have our annual Christmas Party on Saturday , Dec 12th, 2015 from 2 to 4 pm.

October 2015 Board Minutes


Meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all.
Board: Maggie Jones, Suzie Jamerson, Cathy Winterrowd and Don Ulrey were present, Mike Barr was absent. PSG Management: Larry Edwards and Susan Keene were present.

Architectural Report :  One received
Social Committee Report: reported 3 residents will be visited by Suzie following their surgeries and emergency room visits.
New Business/Old Business:  August and September meetings were not conducted due to the unfortunate absence of board members.  Mike Barr is recovering nicely from surgery.
The roof on Waterford Ln will be completed in November. The approximate cost $12,500 - $13,000.   One more mowing will be done following falling leaves. Fountains are off and will be removed soon.   Next year`s budget will be mailed to residents within two weeks, voting on the budget will be at the November 19th meeting.   Roofs to be replaced starting 2017 beginning with the oldest units first (approx 5 units per year).    Larry Edwards demonstrated all roofing and materials in his presentation to the board and residents.     Maggie Jones incurred a drain problem in their condo and recommended “R&S sewer cleaning” , approx. cost $138.   
Attention:   Street cleaning and sweeping scheduled for October 23rd at Waterford Lakes.

Street Sweeping

The Town is preparing to conduct street sweeping operations in all subdivisions. Advance Sweeping is the contractor performing the work. During this time, the Town asks residents to not park vehicles on the street from 8 am – 6 pm. By doing so, street sweeping equipment will be able to sweep the street from “curb-to-curb.” Sweeping should only be completed Monday-Friday. The sweeping for Waterford Lakes is scheduled for 10/23/2015.

Please note this is a tentative schedule. The presented timeline can change with weather and equipment issues. The Town will try to pass on any revisions as quickly as possible.

July 2015 Board Minutes

Architectural Report :  One received and approved.  Maggie Jones said she would be acting in Mike Barr’s absence.
Social Committee Report: Our thoughts go out to Mike Barr who is undergoing medical tests. Ice Cream social will be August 8th from 2 to 4 pm.   Avon Town Events: The Art of Jazz, art festival and free outdoor concert Saturday July 25th at Avon Town Hall Park.  August 16th  WWII memorial, car show 8am to 4pm.  Every Tuesday 4 to 7 pm June thru September is the Avon Farmers Market.    CORRECTION to last month’s minutes… Linda Richardson is the new street representative for Lakeview Ct not Lakewood Ct.
Landscape Committee: Bushes have been added around the ponds to deter the geese.  Golden Privet bushes planted between Austin Lakes / Waterford Lakes to deter geese. 
New Business/Old Business:  no old business.   Request for PSG to check on the following: Sink hole at 319 Lakewood Ct., rut at end of club house driveway, check bush planted in common area 304 Lakewood Ct, check rough grassy spots at 248 Waterford Ct.   To discuss any new business please call PSG to be placed on the HOA agenda at monthly meetings.  If registering a complaint, call PSG with your name, address, and information for the board to respond. Your name will remain anonymous.
Attention: No soliciting …please call Avon Police to handle any violations.  Numerous SCAM phone calls have been made to residents. Please contact the Attorney General’s Office at 232-6201.  Please do not leave pets unattended!!! Please remember to clean up your pet's  messes ASAP in the common areas as well as your own yard.

June 2015 Board Minutes

Meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all.
Board: Maggie Jones, Suzie Jamerson, Mike Barr and Don Ulrey were present, Cathy Winterrowd was absent. PSG Management: Larry Edwards and Susan Keene were present.

Architectural Report: received one and received another.
Social Committee Report : Suzie made visits to residents with flowers and cards. She visited two residents that lost loved ones and one resident whose daughter was in an auto accident. Suzie asked for a volunteer street representative for Lakewood Ct., Linda Richardson accepted the position. Ice Cream social will be August the 8th, Saturday 2 to 4 pm. 
Landscape Committee: Bushes were newly planted along border of Austin Lakes and Waterford Ln pond to distract the geese. Mr. and Mrs. Gillespie volunteered their water for watering the bushes. Resident requested that PSG contact Mr. Sandoval to do no trimming along new bushes.  New Business/Old Business:  Residents requested the temporary fence on Waterford Ln pond to be removed. Maggie Jones replied temporary fencing was placed to distract the geese. It will be removed/relocated to another site.  Several attempts are being made to distract/harass the geese, to prevent their return.    Termites were found at a residence on Waterford Ln. The HOA board voted to cover the expense for a one time treatment.  Both condos were treated.  This was determined to be a minor occurrence. Yearly maintenance for termites is $345.00. This will be paid for by the resident not the HOA. Anyone requesting a termite inspection, the cost is $50.00.  Residents calling PSG to request a need for service, a need for trimming/yard work or any other request must leave their name, their address and phone number. Anonymous phone calls will not be considered.

May 2015 Board Minutes

Meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all.
Board: Maggie Jones, Suzie Jamerson, Mike Barr, Don Ulrey, and Cathy Winterrowd were present. PSG Management: Larry Edwards and Susan Keene were present.

Architectural Report:  one request this month for a deck , three were approved from last month.
Social Committee Report New Business/Old Business:  Grass trimming was discussed. Complaint about trimming around homes was too short. PSG will discuss with the mowers.  Residents would like to be notified when power washing is to be done prior to painting of their condos.  Residents need to contact utility company if utility cables are exposed.  Request to replace trees was denied due to budget concerns, only those trees already promised will be replaced.  Bushes between us and Austin Lakes need to be replaced, several have died. 
FYI: Update from Avon Parks monthly events...The Avon Farmers Market starts on June 2nd. Washington Township Park Amphitheater on Friday, June 19th at 7:00pm will feature the music of The Toy Factory. We still need a street representative for Lakeview court.
