Waterford Lakes Homeowners Association Board Meeting Minutes
January 18, 2018
Attendance:  3 Residents, Board Members: Maggie Jones, Caroline King, Dave Richardson, Don Ulrey, and PSG: Larry Edwards, Susan Keene
Call To Order:                                                                                                                                                        6:30pm
Approval of November Minutes
Treasurer’s Report:              Checking Account Balance: $37,675
                                                      Reserve Fund Balance:                           $122,305
                                                      Certificate of Deposit:                              $51,282
Committee Reports:             
Election Committee : Two Board positions (3 year terms) are up for election at the Annual Meeting in April.  Nominations must be in to PSG by Saturday, March 10th.  Thursday, March 15th HOA Meeting will be a Meet The Candidate Night.  Please submit a paragraph/brief biography with your nomination.  Candidate Bio’s will be sent to residents with the Annual Meeting packet.  Candidates do not run for an office. Officers will be elected by the Board following the election.  Candidates may want to include the following in their bio:  why do you want to run for the Board; address and years as a resident; HOA experience; volunteer activities; community involvement; professional experience; strengths, etc.  Become familiar with the Waterford Lakes HOA documents to better understand the Board’s role and responsibilities.
Clubhouse Committee:  $900 in rental fees were collected in 2017.  Contact PSG to reserve the clubhouse.  Rental fees must be paid to lock in a specific date.  Residents must sign the rental agreement and be present for the event.  The rental fee is $50 deposit with a $75 damage deposit.  If you wish to setup the night before the event there is a $25 charge.
Old Business:  None
New Business:  A resident inquired about the HOA paying for leaf raking. There was discussion which included:                
·       We do not have leaf raking in the budget. 
·       The budget is focused on the roofing project we committed to.
·       $6000 per month goes toward the roofing fund in the budget
·       We try to wait as late in the Fall as we can for the last mow to mulch the leaves.
