March 2013 Board Minutes

Meeting called to order @ 7pm. Pledge of Allegiance recited by all.

Board members: Mike Barr, Don Bosma, Suzie Jamerson, Cathy Winterrowd, Maggie Jones

The Board approved February minutes (Barr-Winterrowd)

Don Bosma gave treasurer's report:

February Income:    $13,305.93

February Expenses: $3,642,40

February Surplus:    $9,663.53

Treasurer's report was approved (Barr-Jamerson)

• A resident questioned reason for excessive number of new mailboxes to be purchased. President responded with decision made previously by residents for consistency of plain white mailboxes throughout community, elimination of increasing cost of decals, and placement of address numbers on posts as the reason.
• No architectural report.
• Social Committee report: new phone books available and being delivered. Suggestions made and duly noted for updated information to phone books. Please notify Suzie Jamerson of any updates or corrections needed. Volunteers needed for street representatives for Crystal Court and Lake View Court. Please notify Suzie Jamerson @ 271-5318 if interested. Need for doorbell repairs? Call Suzie for suggestions. New resident Don Ulrey was introduced and expressed an interest in running for open HOA treasurer by providing background information.
• Resident Don Johnson provided pictures of his three backyard shade trees recently trimmed by Mr., Sandoval, our mower/landscaping contractor. Mr. Johnson presented a letter from his son, Steve claiming displeasure of trimming with no reason to do so. His request was for replacement of his three trees. After much discussion, Susan Keene, PSG suggested that the Board be allowed time to arrive at a fair solution and Mr. Johnson agreed.
• Insurance renewal due April 1^st, 2013. Susan Keene, PSG presented and explained 6 options from Nationwide. Option six was agreed upon by Board members and residents. Option 6: $15,539 annual premium (deductible $5,000 + $25,000 deductible for Wind/Hail)
• Resident requested date for replacement of ash trees and planting of Russian olives. PSG to check with Hobbs Nursery for replacement trees cost and delivery date of Russian olives.
• Reminder given for Memorial Bricks in Shade Garden($50.00 per brick). Call Suzie Jamerson to order. New picnic table placed in Shade Garden for your enjoyment.
• Annual meeting April 18* Voting for election of officers for HOA Board will be held. If interested in running for office please notify PSG @ 837-9860 by March 31^st- No floor nominations allowed. Annual meeting notices to be sent out by PSG-

February 2013 Board Minutes

The Waterford Lakes Board met on February 21,1013 at the clubhouse. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm, and all in attendance recited the pledge of allegiance.

The Board approved the January minutes. (Barr-Bosma) Don Bosma gave the treasurer's report as follows:

January Income...$13,250.00

January Expenses.. .$8,434.76

YTD Surplus...$4,948.41 The treasurer's report was approved.

OLD BUSINESS:

•       The gutters and downspouts are full of grit and in need of cleaning. The buildings that are being scheduled for painting will have this done.

•       The new mailboxes will be installed this spring, probably May.

NEW BUSINESS:

•       The Board approved cashing in the CD's as they come due. Money will be put in the Money
Market account until the Board approves a new investment.
