We would like to keep our residents updated on what
is happening in our neighborhood during this challenging time. We have had many residents come forward
offering their services to those who cannot or do not want to go to the

We would appreciate that those who are able to please police
the trash along the roads of our community and the backyards. Little things like this help us conserve our
budget so we have more money for big ticket items such as fountains. We will forgo a major mulching of the shade garden
this Spring, but will allocate some resources to freshen up each entrance and
add some color. Joy Shew will work her
magic at the north entrance and Anna Brown at the south entrance. Overall these measures will save us
approximately $1500 of the budgeted amount for the entrances/shade garden to be
used elsewhere.
We are scheduling our first lawn treatment and mowing prior
to Easter. If you have swampy areas in
your yard that you do not want mowed please mark the areas. If you need stakes
let me know and we can deliver some to
you..
Don’t forget the Book Box behind the clubhouse that was
donated by Dawn Lowden. You are welcome
to take some books to read and then return when finished. We have put some new books out this week.
Home appraisals are continuing to climb with sales up to $174K
for the larger units. Homes are selling
very quickly as you have noticed. New homebuyers are investing additional
monies to do major renovations on the interiors. We have suggested several
ways for our residents to update
the exteriors of their units inexpensively..
This includes: taking the plastic
grates off the front doors; adding a new full view storm door; and purchasing new
exterior light fixtures per our HOA
specifications. We have been listening
to feedback from local realtors on additional ways to inexpensively update our
homes. We will be presenting some other
ideas in the near future. Dawn Lowden is
putting some market information for our Annual Meeting in May.
Last month we emphasized not feeding the geese, but are
still receiving reports. Our objective is
to reduce the geese population for a cleaner community. We appreciate the calls about geese nesting
near homes. Several nests have been
destroyed to date. Keep the calls
coming.
We will put out another Bulletin in April, so please
feel free to contact me with any announcements.
