Financial: We ended the year in excellent
condition and under budget. Since we
didn’t use all our snow removal budget, we took care of several items. We replaced a fountain and a driveway and did
the Fall fertilization. We also made the deposits to the Roofing fund.
·
Architectural: New architectural guidelines have
been written and copies distributed. It
was a huge job and our thanks for the Committee for a well-crafted document If you
wish to discuss any items at the next HOA meeting, please contact PSG to get on
the February agenda.
·
Social: Caroling was canceled due to
the inclement weather. The storage room
in the Clubhouse has been cleaned out and organized. Thanks to PSG’s crew who helped clear
everything out. Two residents have been hospitalized, Gequetta Littrell, and
Bill Banks. Unfortunately, Blanche
Cooper has passed away – our deepest sympathy to the Coopers.
·
Old Business: Don Johnson brought up concerns about the geese at the November
meeting which was tabled until the January meeting. In response to his concerns, Maggie presented
a wealth of information from the DNR regarding geese control. We all agreed that nothing was going to stop
them. Hopefully, once the bushes grow in
a bit, it will be a deterrent.
·
New Business: Don Johnson had sent a letter
asking that we discuss ways to keep leaves and other debris from getting into
the lake. It was decided to ask the
mowers to leave the grass around the lakes a little longer – about 3 inches - rather
than cutting so close to the ground. This will also help protect against erosion.
Martha Bosma found a trash can lid last week – if
you are missing a trash can lid, please let her know. She will keep it until next meeting before
discarding it.
In April, we will be electing three
homeowners to serve on the Board. If you
are interested, please contact PSG to have your name placed on the ballot. This
is an excellent way to support your community.
The meeting was adjourned. . Our next meeting will be 16 February at 6:30 PM.
